Get Involved

There are many ways you can help support the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital.

Volunteer—Help patients and families at Comer Children’s by becoming a blood donor, volunteering in the playroom, or spending time as a baby cuddler. If you have sewing abilities, join the Forefront Stitchers and help make blankets for newborns. Fill out a volunteer application today!

Host an Event—Whether you’re planning a bowl-a-thon or a birthday party, you can donate the proceeds or ask for donations from your guests to support Comer Children’s. Our Hope & Healing Network is a great way to promote your event and gain support. Our staff is here to help answer your questions.

Attend an Event—Throughout the year, the University of Chicago hosts a variety of events on campus and throughout the Chicagoland area. For example, you can connect with more than 1,000 runners and walkers at the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital RBC Race for the Kids. This event generates more than $300,000 for pediatric research and patient care. We invite you to join us and create teams. Corporations are encouraged to organize and recruit teams of colleagues to boost morale, encourage healthy living, and promote corporate social responsibility.

Become a Corporate Sponsor—If your company has a giving program, and/or you have a friend or family member who is involved with a corporate foundation, you can partner with the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital to support our initiatives through increased awareness, philanthropic support, or in-kind donations. For more information or to get involved with any of these programs, call 773.834. 1940.
